A meeting at the highest level
On 30 May 2026, the time has come: The 10th edition of the Puma Nitro Lange
Laufnacht will once again transform the Carl-Kaufmann-Stadium into a stage for
athletic peak performances and great emotions!
More than 1,000 athletes will compete in the 800m, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase and 5000m – a firework of running sport is to be expected. In 2025, more than half of the participants achieved a new personal best! For the anniversary edition, we are once again creating the best conditions for peak results. Pacemakers will ensure countless standards and personal bests and bring the stacked fields on record course.
When the euphoria takes over the stadium, goosebumps will be guaranteed. The organisation team will do everything they can to give every participant the stage they deserve – that’s a promise!

Note on the registration times
- Only registration times from the 2024 and 2025 outdoor seasons and the 2025 indoor season will be accepted.
- If no registration time is available, a result on a different distance can be entered for the following disciplines
- 3.000 m SC: 2.000 m SC and for U20 3.000 m (if no steeple chase time is available - we also recommend the steeple chase competition in Pliezhausen on 18 May 2025)
- 5.000 m: 3.000 m & 10.000 m alternatively 5 km & 10 km road (if entered on World Athletics)
- For 800 m and 1.500 m no times over other disciplines will be accepted.

As coordinator of the LG Region Karlsruhe, nothing works without Pat at Lange Laufnacht. He is the mastermind of the race administration and organisation.
Simon Stützel
The experienced long-distance runner and entrepreneur is responsible for sports management. It is particularly important to Simon that experienced pacers are toeing line.
Johanna Flacke
The long-term board member of the LG Region Karlsruhe has a detailed view for the finances. The internal organisation of the team is also in best hands with Johanna.
Michaela Stützel
Michi makes sure that everything and everyone is in place on the day of the event. A smooth and perfectly organised schedule is guaranteed!
Yannik Probst
Yannik takes care of the marketing of the event so that Lange Laufnacht is carried out into the wide world. Media coverage is just as essential as maintaining our trustful partnerships.

Meeting Founders
A passion for Running
Runners Track Night was born as the result of the shared vision of Günther Scheefer, Simon Stützel and Jannik Arbogast, who wanted to fill a gap in German track and field athletics. As athletes, Simon and Jannik regularly had to travel to Belgium to participate in high-quality competitions. This motivated the founding trio to establish an alternative in Germany: A competition characterized by an excellent atmosphere, perfect organization and brilliant pacemakers in Karlsruhe.
The vision of combining a top-class competition with a special experience still characterizes the Runners Track Night today and makes it one of the most popular and successful athletics events in Germany. The motto “By athletes for athletes” has successfully endured since the first edition in 2016 and still manifests itself in an unusually young organizational team.
Günther Scheefer
Günther Scheefer, an experienced coach and dedicated member of the board of the LG Region Karlsruhe, brought his organizational expertise, his large network and a great passion for competitive sport to the event.
Simon Stützel
Simon Stützel, with a personal best of 13:41 minutes over 5000 meters and international experience as a pacemaker, provided the international contacts.

Jannik Arbogast, German champion over 10 km and with a record time of 13:52 minutes over 5000 meters, shared his perspective as a top national runner to focus on the needs of the athletes.
